Two days ago—my first West Coast Talk for seniors studying at Five Branches Acupuncture School!

It was a good class.  Filled with tired Healing Masters who are graduating in 2 weeks.  So their scholastic sponges are completely full already with four years of intensive, highly detailed information.  And then I gave them something else to chew on.

I had only arrived in California four days ago.  My boxes in a separate place; the garage of beloved friends and Helpful People.

(read: My hair is disheveled, my clothes were clean (yea!) but wrinkled.  I had no written material.  I carried a box of non-toxic candles and a long-stem lighter that has seen better days.  I borrowed a plate to put the candles on, prayed to Spirit to speak with clarity, motivation, and eloquence, and began.  Thankfully, the class was full of big hearts with large ears.)

A real trip for these about-to-be graduates. Putting affirmations into the flames of non-toxic candles.  NOT exactly status quo information.  It was humbling and gratifying to start to see nods of agreement and interest sparks in the eyes of many.  They even laughed at my jokes.  I like the West Coast.

After I did a karma Release Flame with the instructor, an old friend (she trusts me) who never knows what I will have up my sleeve and if, in fact, I will stay rooted in a geologic location for more than a minute,  I then asked for volunteers for experimentation with the karma Release Flames.  My first  eager-beaver front row student said, “I will try it!”

Forevermore, I will refer to her as “Iconoclastic Sarah” for her courage to follow her intuition into the Evolution of human consciousness growth boldly and with great revery.  Five minutes later, after she had done a release flame with her grandmother, she was smiling like the Chestire Cat—a grin of self-satisfaction.

Evolution is filled with endorphins and rewards for our conscious growth.  It feels good and is slightly addicting.  Smart choice from the Higher Power.  If it makes me smile and I become more and more authentically joyous—I intend to spread the word about this and I can tell from the 5 or 6 students who came to me after class—that soon I won’t be the only one talking incessantly about it.

Teaching the class gave me a deep sense of satisfaction.  I didn’t, in fact, move to the West Coast for not (though the hard tan bodies, bleached hair, and smell of salt water mixed with sunshine is indeed a draw).

I heard myself saying this statement to this class of acupunturists:  This nuclear emergency and toxicity is a symbol for the human race’s inner toxicity.  The world heals from the inside out.  Not from the outside in.  From an evoluted place, we will solve all of the personal and planetary issues that seem impossible to solve.  We cannot stay the same and solve anything.  It is time for the Evolution.

And did I already say that there were nods and smiles of acknowledgement?  I like the West Coast.
